We apologize if you are trying to call us and are not getting through.

  • If you receive a message similar to the number being disconnected or your call did not go through: AT&T long distance to/from the island is having on/off issues.  You may also experience dropped calls, this is directly related to this issue.  There is no time frame for this to be resolved.
  • If you are able to connect, you will hear our Automated Attendant.  If you are disconnected from this system we apologize.  We are working on replacing this system as fast as possible.  It seems to have developed a programming glitch and the system is no longer being supported by the manufacturer.  We expect this to be complete by the end of July.

——————————————————————————————————————-The City of Adak, Alaska, the westernmost city in the United States is a community centered among the most productive fisheries in the West. Our prime location and strategic assets, transferred as part of the Base Realignment and Closure process, make Adak a strong area for future growth and economic activity in relation to the Arctic. Whether you visit to take part in harvesting some of Adak’s abundant caribou herd, bird watching or to explore parts of Adak’s prior military history, welcome to Adak “where the winds blow and friendships grow”.

Thanks to the US Navy we now have the following “Welcome to Adak” and “Children’s Safety Videos” for your informational and viewing pleasure. We highly encourage all visitors to view the video for critical information. Adobe Flash/Shockwave required.
